Rotten TomatoesJason Segal is back with another mind-blowing performance which is of no surprise to anybody. He plays his part extremely well. Shrinking is the perfect feel-good show that you just can't seem to put down. Although there are some loopholes in the story, every single episode feels like a breath of fresh air. The show includes warmth, sarcasm, dark comedy, and emotions that make it easy to engage with and relate to. Wit and good jokes can regularly be witnessed throughout. The characters promote diversity and contribute to the storyline beautifully. The show has its moments and some might try to make changes to the script and have a proper storyline but that is just how the screenplay is. It depicts how life is unpredictable and how something good can always come out of something bad. The show grows on you as you watch it and it holds great potential and promise.

When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to be in the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a "Harrison Ford type" for the role and was going to audition people similar to Ford. Segel told Goldstein they had to at least bring it to Ford first, thinking he would turn it town immediately, but at least then other people would hear that Harrison Ford was brought the project and it might generate interest from other notable actors for the role. In the end, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold Ford on the role. Goldstein still doesn't understand what he did to convince him but was elated nonetheless.
The character of Paul (Harrison Ford) was based on a real-life therapist, Phil Stutz, who was the subject of Jonah Hill's Netflix documentary, "Stutz."
Christa Miller (Liz) is the real life wife of the show's co-creator, Bill Lawrence. Miller also appears in other Lawrence created shows such as "Cougar Town" and "Scrubs".
Production designer, Cabot McMullen, worked closely with the actors to develop a design strategy for each office with character-driven representation through artwork, books, color palettes and desktop details. Many of the desktop items were personally chosen or curated by the actors.
Christa Miller (Liz) actually tumbles rocks as a hobby in real life.
