Agent Elvis is an adult-animated spy series that follows Elvis Presley, who leads a double life as a superstar by day and a crime-fighting vigilante by night. He is accompanied by his chauffeur Billy Ray, his alcoholic chimpanzee Scatter, and his manager Bertie. When he is recruited by special agent Cece, he embarks on various spy missions to stop a dangerous hypnotic weapon while grappling with a past he can't remember. The vibrant colours and the use of graphic noir 2D-art style full of sharp geometric edges and thick outlines in the series makes it one of the finest animated series in the adult segment. However, the forced justification of vulgarity as the basis of humour rather than focusing on clever writing is a negative aspect of the show. Even the writing falls short in providing consecutive laughs as the seemingly-original spy ideas wear out within the first few minutes. Overall, Agent Elvis is a series created with good intentions, but the high-octane, colourful, and inspired screenplay and delightful graphic action-violence fails to excite the audiences.
