STORY

Story
A man who is having an affair with a married woman is dropped off on the wrong street when going back to his hotel. He takes refuge out of the rain when an old man invites him in. He turns out to be a mortician, who tells him the stories of the people who have wound up in his establishment over the course of four stories.

The screenplay was originally entitled "Five Faces", and then changed to "Five Faces of Terror" during production. Prior to release, the film's title was changed to "Alien Zone" by the distributor, for unknown reasons, and then changed again to "House of the Dead."

David O'Malley wrote the script while on vacation.

Sharron Miller cast a fair share of the cast with people that she studied acting with in Los Angeles, California.

The second story in the original screenplay had some satirical commentary on Richard Nixon that was ultimately cut from the script.

The only theatrical feature directed by Sharron Miller.
