Ross Bagdasarian Sr voiced and sang as Alvin in the original iteration from the 1950's and, keeping things in the family, his son Ross Bagdasarian Jr is the speaking and singing voice of both Alvin and Dave in this series. To add to this family affair, Ross Jr's wife even voices Brittany, and both husband and wife have had total control of the entire franchise since.

The complete series has never been available on home video, DVD, or streaming, making viewing all episodes virtually impossible. Not to mention, the DVDs that have actually released have the episodes out of order and severely edited from their original state (title cards and bumpers removed as well entire segments completely cut out).
