Lawrence Talbot, aka the Wolf Man, first appeared in The Wolf Man (1941), played by Lon Chaney Jr. The same-named neighbor of Dave Seville and the Chipmunks bears no resemblance to Chaney's likeness.
Tim Curry was considered for the role of Lawrence Talbot.
Brittany wears a different outfit in this movie. Instead having a pink shirt, skirt and yellow scarf from Alvin & the Chipmunks (1983) and The Chipmunk Adventure (1987), she wears a blue or violet shirt and a pink skirt.
Neither Alvin, Simon, or Theodore had colored eyes in the previous film Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein (1999).
Maurice LaMarche (Lawrence Talbot) and Rob Paulsen (Mr. Rochelle) previously worked together as the voices of Pinky and the Brain in the Warnerverse.
"Brittney: I don't get it, Theodore was always the sweet one. Simon Seville: What about me? Brittney: You're the smart one. Alvin Seville: And me? Brittney: [Scoffs] You're the *other* one."
"[Theodore has turned into a werewolf but is acting playful] Simon Seville: He's like a-a-a puppy. Alvin Seville: A werewolf puppy. [Alvin and Simon both cringe] Simon Seville: [dryly] A non-housebroken werewolf puppy!"
