TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

There is a shot in the film where Wednesday and Lurch (on their way to Sausalito) travel through Death Valley, CA. At one point, Wednesday stops in front of a crossroads sign displaying various fictional locations from horror films. Among them are Haddonfield (from Halloween (1978)), Crystal Lake (from Friday the 13th (1980)), the Overlook Hotel (from The Shining (1980)), Amityville (from The Amityville Horror (1979)), Elm Street (from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)), and The Light House (from The Fog (1980)).

Wednesday says she was named after the old nursery rhyme that goes "Wednesday's child is full of woe." This is, in fact, how the character was named for the original television series.

Finn Wolfhard could not reprise his role as Pugsley Addams in this film due to his voice changing, so Javon 'Wanna' Walton was cast.

During a scene where Wednesday (Chloe Grace Moretz) participates in a child beauty pageant, she is seen dumping buckets of a blood-like liquid onto her competitors. This is in reference to the movie Carrie (2013), which also stars Moretz in the title role, where Carrie White is infamously hit with a bucket with pig's blood before she rampaged on the high school prom.

When Gomez charges at Strange, saber in hand, he shouts "Mazurka!" This is a reference to the first animated film in which the Addams' saber "Mazurka" was an important rite of passage for Pugsley.

Popular Dialogues

"Gomez Addams: [to Cousin It] Tell that Billie Eilish she's a little too sunny for my taste. But I'm still a fan."

"Pugsley Addams: Where have you been all my life? Ophelia: The farm."
