ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks, created by Janice Karman, takes us on a roller coaster ride of music, laughter and stories geared to entertain The Chipmunks' four generations of fans. Presented for the first time in glorious CGI, the series features ground-breaking animation and a new, original Chipmunk song in every episode. The series is an animated version of a prime-time sitcom and reflects the trials and tribulations of a single parent, David Seville, trying to raise six hyper-active Chipmunks. Like most parents, Dave's patience will be pushed to the limit, forcing him to end most sentences in "ALVINNN!!!"

Just like Alvin & the Chipmunks (1983), each story features one song sung by the Chipmunks that plays over a montage. However, unlike the previous series, the songs used are originals Produced by Ali Dee Theodore who was the Executive Music Producer for the first three motion pictures released by FOX. He was hired by Bagdasarian Productions. He co-wrote and produced over sixty songs for the series out of his NYC recording facility.
Uses the same theme song as Alvin & the Chipmunks (1983), though it's likely a new recording.
Uses the same voice actors for Dave and the Chipmunks (Ross Bagdasarian Jr.), and the Chipettes (Janice Karman) as Alvin & the Chipmunks (1983).
In their house, you can see a movie poster for a movie named Cat Noir, which is the name of a superhero in the TV series (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir (2015)), which is also a Nickelodeon show.
James Arnold Taylor was considered to voice Alvin on the series.
