A National Geographic film crew, led by director Terri Flores, is traveling through the Amazon River to film a documentary about the legendary Shirishama tribe. They rescue a stranded Paraguayan snake hunter named Paul Serone, who offers to help them find the tribe. However, Serone's true intention is to hunt a giant, record-breaking anaconda he has been tracking. He takes over their boat and forces the crew to aid him in his obsessive and dangerous quest.
