• Story:
  Angammal is a hardworking widow in a rural Tamil Nadu village in the 1990s who supports her two sons through her small milk business. Her world is turned upside down when her younger son, Pavalam, returns from the city as a doctor. Eager to marry his affluent girlfriend, Pavalam becomes embarrassed by his mother's traditional attire of a sari without a blouse. He insists she change her way of dressing to make a good impression on his future in-laws, leading to a clash of values, tradition, and a mother's sense of identity.
