TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

James Franco and Tyrese Gibson reportedly did not get along during filming. In a 2007 interview with Playboy, Gibson said that he never wanted to work with Franco ever again, and claims that he feels the same way. Franco responded in an interview with Complex that he and Gibson had made up, or in his case, tried to make up with him after production wrapped, saying that he had nothing personal against Gibson, but guessed that there were a lot of misunderstandings.

This picture was made without the support of the U.S. Department of the Navy or the Department of Defense.

The trailer features shots of a battleship exploding, submarines, and flying fighter jets. None of these appear in the film itself.

In the film, Jake is three years younger than Ali. But in real life, James Franco is two years older than Jordana Brewster.

James Franco went through several intense workouts and put on 35 pounds of muscle for this film. His weight boosted from 165 pounds to a strong, muscular 200 pounds.

Cause Mississippi's the only thing that keeps Arkansas from being the worst state in the whole country. Jake Huard: I'm Mississippi. Twins: Well you sure as hell ain't California. Listen, Cole and Whitaker are so busy tryin' to run you out they forgot about me. As a matter of fact, they've forgotten about every other plebe in this whole company. That's why I stay in this room Jake. Cause if Mississippi quits, then all of a sudden Arkansas is the worst state in the whole country."
