The film was accidentally released by Sony on the PlayStation Network for free whilst it was still playing in cinemas. Although the mistake was quickly spotted - and the film pulled from PlayStation - it was downloaded thousands of times.
Ty Hackett (Columbus Short) refers to Duncan Ashcroft (Fred Ward) as "top" - a term often used by United States Army to describe First Sergeants due to their high rank.
There was initially a subplot/ backstory for Matt Dillon's character in which his wife was dying, hence his need for more money. This was ultimately dropped to create a leaner running time.
There is only one woman who has a speaking role in the movie: the child protection agent played by Lorna Raver. Her role is shorter than 4 minutes. Elizabeth Rivera has a non-speaking role.
