"Auxir Jonak" is an Assamese drama serial that was shown on Rang TV and centers on a young man named Barnabh and his lover Shruti. He is a young orphan who is raised by his grandparents. He is a driven and aspirational individual who longs to reside in the United States of America with his fiancée and start a successful fashion design company. His grandfather, however, throws a wrench in his plans by asking him to take over the family business and setting up his marriage to a more conventional and culturally inclined woman. He attempts to escape the union, but his schemes fall through, and he is forced to wed the woman his grandfather has selected. He continues to pursue his goals and hatches new plans to escape the bonds of marriage. Not everything is as it seems, and as he goes about carrying out his plan, he learns various sinister truths regarding the demise of his parents that change everything.
