IMDbWhen the first season of the series was released in 2019, the audience had a hard time watching the first few episodes of the series, but as the story progressed, the series started to get interesting and made the audience watch the rest of the series to see what the story had to offer. The characters make the show a little bearable and give meaning to the series. The story of the series is basically based on the concept of who done it and revolves around a bunch of moms living in a town in California trying to solve the case. The story also covers the struggles that parents go through to protect their children and how they face the politics that take place in their town. The first season of the series does not have quite a lot to offer, but the audience still hopes that the writer will strengthen the storyline as the series progresses.

HBO won the rights for the series in a bidding war against Netflix.
Alexander Skarsgård said that the therapy sessions between Perry and Celeste were filmed without rehearsal, and he appreciated that, since accordingly he and Nicole Kidman had genuine tension and awkwardness having to read the other's emotions in the scene.
Shailene Woodley was seriously thinking of quitting acting and had been refusing scripts for a year before this one came her way and she fell in love with the character of Jane. A phone call of encouragement from her friend and co-star Laura Dern solidified her decision to take the role.
The titles of the episodes come from either song titles or lines from songs.
Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon each earn $1 million an episode for the sequel series. That's a significant bump from the reported range of $250,000 to $350,000 the pair made per episode during season one. That was just for their acting duties, and does not include the money the pair makes as producers.
