Fifty years after the events of 'Blade Runner 2049', Los Angeles has been reborn, but not by humanity. Following a replicant uprising, humans are now second-class citizens. The series follows Cora, a fugitive who, in a final bid to stop running, takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner. She is forced to partner with Olwen, a replicant nearing the end of her artificial life, to hunt down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse their fragile city.

Filming was originally planned for Belfast but was moved to Prague and Spain due to the 2023 WGA strike.
The showrunner, Silka Luisa, has described the aesthetic of the series as 'sunshine noir', a departure from the rain-soaked visuals of the films.
