TRIVIA

Trivia

The director voiced the growls and screams of the real Chathan (Goblin).

The film boasts extensive use of practical effects. A vibrating motor that could be adjusted in intensity was positioned inside different objects and activated during the shot to create the vibrating sequence. Also, huge sets were built for the rotating chamber and the shrinking room scenes.

A plastic bucket was used to create Kodumon Potti Theme. The music director, Christo Xavier, tied guitar strings across the open bucket. The strings were then played using a violin bow, producing an unsettling tone with a unique reverb.

The majority of the rain scenes were shot in real rain and were only slightly enhanced with the help of a rain unit.

To eventually fix the one in the movie, several measurements and variants of Kodumon Potti's prosthetic teeth were collected. It is nearly impossible to eat anything once the teeth are set, let alone chew. Interestingly, Mammootty seemed to have no trouble chomping on the chicken.
