STORY

Story
Bette Davis handles the title role in this highly offbeat crime comedy about two aging hippies who elect to rob a bank to restore Bunny O'Hare's financial affairs after she's been unjustly evicted and rendered homeless. When that heist ends up paying off, rather than take off for the border, Bunny opts for a life of crime with her new partner, Bill Green, played by fellow Oscar-winner Ernest Borgnine.

Star Bette Davis brought suit claiming the production company censored her dialogue and destroyed the film. The lawsuit was later dropped.

The couple's motorcycle, also featured on the poster, is a 250cc Triumph TRW Trophy.

His bit part as a lab technician was the last theatrical feature film appearance for Bruno VeSota.

In the background of their first robbery is the former Oñate Theater at 700 Dalies Avenue in Belen, New Mexico. As of 2017 the building is still there and has been converted into a restaurant. The First National Bank of Belen building used for the robbery has been demolished and is now a parking lot for another bank and a small park.

The shopping mall in the chase scene is the Winrock Town Center in Albuquerque, although the area now looks drastically different-fifty years later.
