Early in the film, Dale stars in his own show titled Double-0-Dale. In the early 90s, Disney was developing a show called Double-0-Duck. This idea was scrapped when it was discovered that the title "Double-0" is owned by the estate of Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond novels. Double-0-Duck was reworked and became Darkwing Duck.

A sign shows that Dobby the House Elf became a model for Gucci after the Harry Potter series wrapped.

Tress MacNeille reprises the role of Gadget for the first time since the TV series ended in 1990. She also reprises her role as Chip in his chipmunk voice for a few scenes.

Seth Rogen (Bob) has a scene with four characters he has played: when Bob is tripped up by Chip and Dale and lands on the floor he looks up to see Pumbaa from The Lion King (2019), Mantis from Kung Fu Panda (2008) and B.O.B. from Monsters vs. Aliens (2009).
