STORY

Story
After stealing a fortune in unclaimed jewelry, ex-detective Barney Rickert arrives at a run-down dude ranch in Arizona to hide out. As originally written, story was supposedly to be set in Hawaiian tourist paradise, but budget constraints meant relocating it to Arizona river side.

Ken Swofford had a recurring role as newspaper columnist Frank Flannigan in the 1975-76 NBC version of "Ellery Queen". In "The Adventure of the Sunday Punch", John Furlong appears as his photographer.
