According to director Luigi Cozzi, the alien cyclops shown toward the end was supposed to be much more animated, but this was not shown due to problems with the mechanics.

Writer/director Luigi Cozzi's first script for the film was titled "Alien Arrives on Earth," making no effort to hide that his inspiration for Ridley Scott's Alien (1979) and that this was his idea for that film's sequel. Some countries also directly marketed the film as a sequel to Scott's film.
