TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

When the Predator grabs its mask from the display case, the original Predator mask from the 1987 movie is briefly seen right next to it.

Although no mention is made in the movie, the character Keyes played by Jake Busey is the son of Peter Keyes, the government official from Predator 2 (1990) who died during the hunt for the Predator. Peter Keyes was played by Gary Busey, who is Jake's father in real life as well.

The film was directed and co-written by Shane Black, as a sequel to Predator (1987), Predator 2 (1990), and Predators (2010). Shane Black played Hawkins in the original film.

The film was originally conceived as a reboot of "Predator" until Shane Black came aboard and confirmed he would be making a sequel instead, as he wanted to continue to explore the "Predator" mythology.

Shane Black wrote Thomas Jane's character Baxley with Tourette's syndrome because Black himself has Tourette's.

Popular Dialogues

"Casey Bracket: [In a lab filled with lab workers, as the Predator is laid out on an examination table] Why do you call it "the Predator"? Traeger: It's a nickname. You know, the data suggests that it tracks its prey, exploits weaknesses. Seems to- well, enjoy it. Like a game. Casey Bracket: That's not a predator, that's a sports hunter. Traeger: Sorry? Casey Bracket: A predator kills its prey to survive. I mean, what you're describing is more like a bass fisherman. Traeger: Well, we took a vote. Predator's cooler, right? [Rest of lab agrees] Traeger: Fuck yeah."

"Baxley: Fuck me in the face with an aardvark."
