TRIVIA

Trivia

Inspired by the director's identical road trip and fateful brush with a woman who called herself Crystal Fairy.

Most of the dialogue was improvised by the actors or fed to them by the director just before a take.

Gaby Hoffmann says she had no problem with her gratuitous nudity in the film thanks to growing up in a "naked house."

Michael Cera lived with the Silva family in Chile for several months to prepare for his role.

When walking home after a late night, the director was once asked by a drag queen prostitute for a bite of his apple. He claims he declined her request.
