Delhi Crime won the best Drama Series at 2020 International Emmys, notably this is India's first ever win at the event.
All the surviving rapists in the web series were hanged to death on 20 March 2020, after all their appeals were exhausted.
It took writer & director Ritchie Mehta six years to finish his research for this project. The series was shot in Delhi over the course of 62 days.
The web series spans six days, covering the period between 16 December and 21 December, from the incident to the final arrest.
Delhi Crime will be an anthology series and the next season will have same characters but with a different crime story according to the makers. Shefali Shah will reprise her role as DCP Vartika as well along with other main characters.
