8.6/10
IMDbDexter has successfully combined the works of some brilliant actors and great writers of all time. As shown in each episode the show is quite appealing and intriguing for the viewers. All the brilliant and well-thought plot twists aim to keep the audiences hooked and invested in this series throughout its eight seasons. It is also trying to depict the moral grounds of good versus bad in the hopes of giving a description that not every bad deed is bad. The supporting cast members of the series including Harry, Debra, Batista, Lundy, and even Masuka, are just fantastic. Every actor has perfectly carried out their roles. The show is meant to be a little dark but quite contrary to the actual theme every episode has some funny moments. Every season has a standout moment, excellent villains, and a clever twist. It is a lot of fun to witness and has received a good IMDB rating for its incredible plot and comes highly suggested.

During Season 8, Angel Batista wasn't always played by David Zayas. His son David Zayas Jr. stands in for his father in some shots, as the two look remarkably alike.
David Zayas, who plays Detective Sgt. Angel Batista, actually was a police officer with the New York City Police Department prior to becoming an actor. Before that he served in the U.S. Air Force.
Though they play brother and sister in the series, having met on the show, Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter married on 31st December 2008. They subsequently divorced in December 2010, but continued to work together in the show.
During the first 5 episodes of season 5 Michael C. Hall wore a wig for his role as Dexter due to losing his hair while going through chemotherapy.
"Dexter Morgan: I've lived in darkness a long time. Over the years my eyes adjusted, until the dark became my world and I could see."
"Dexter Morgan: [voiceover] People fake a lot of human interactions, but I feel like I fake them all, and I fake them very well. That's my burden, I guess."
