The climactic musical gig scene was filmed over the course of 2 days by filming the whole set of all the songs live back to back without cuts before covering it from a different angle. All the revelers and dancers were unpaid volunteers.
The location for the musical gig had no working air conditioning. Because they filmed this near the end of June, a portable AC unit was brought in to cool off the building, but many of the extras posing as bar patrons dumped out the content of the beer bottles given to them and filled them with water in order to stay hydrated on set.
