Trivia

Charlie's Bar, seen in exterior shots, is in fact the now Grade 1 listed De La Warr Pavillion, a 1930s Modernist masterpiece, refurbished and restored in 2005 and now an arts center in Bexhill.

Although considered lost by the BFI, a complete 35mm print does exist in an independent archive in the UK.

For years this was listed as a missing film until a print was discovered in 2013. It was the first time the film had been seen since a UK television broadcast in 1962.

Set in the town of Seagate, which doesn't actually exist. The film was shot in Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea.

Final film of Joan Hopkins. NOTE: She retired shortly after it was released.
