In "Herod's Law (1999)," a previous movie by Luis Estrada, Gloria (Leticia Huijara) left a note to her husband which said, "Nos vemos en el infierno" ("See you in hell"), possibly hinting at the title of "Hell (2010)."
Only film in the series where Damián Alcázar's character does not become a villain. It is also the only film where his character regrets some of his killings.
This film and "Un mundo maravilloso (2006)" are the films in the series that received less censorship during their projection in Mexico. This could be because, two of the other films, "Herod's Law (1999)" and "The Perfect Dictatorship (2014)," were released when the most powerful and controversial political party of the country, PRI, known in Mexico for its intolerance to criticism, was ruling the country.
