Footage of the party held in Elvis Presley's suite after his August 10th, 1970 opening show finds him in the company of Sammy Davis Jr., Cary Grant, Kenny Rogers, and Roman Polanski.

The filming of the concerts were at Elvis Presley's third season in Las Vegas.

The following celebrities were greeted as they walked into the International Hotel in the film: Juliet Prowse, Charo, Xavier Cugat, Rona Barrett, Norm Crosby, and Dale Robertson. Seen at the showroom tables were Sammy Davis Jr. and Cary Grant.

Principal photography began the 2nd week of July 1970, during rehearsals at MGM. Shows at the International Hotel were filmed in August. Photography was completed on September 9th with the concert in Phoenix, AZ at the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum.

Originally conceived by Elvis Presley's manager, Colonel Tom Parker, as a live concert shown in cinemas via closed circuit broadcasts.
