Era of Dance has been selected to the international music documentary competition - DocFilmMusic 2018 at 58th Krakow Film Festival.
The international version - of the film (lenght of 72 min) was first premiered in Riga International Film Festival with Special Screening (14th September 2017).In 2018 "Era of Dance" continues its screenings in festivals around Europe.
The first screenplay of "Era of Dance" was written by Viktor Buda back in 2003. At the time, this story didn't rapidly found support from producers and foundations.But, still, back then the hardest thing was to convince all the heroes to take part in a film project. Due to various personal reasons and circumstances, many of the core personalities declined to participate in the documentary film and to tell their story in front of a camera."Decade of the 2000s was still a bit too early for this film" - were told by Viktor Buda after the Dutch premiere in Amsterdam Dance Event (October 2018).Only 10 years later, at the beginning of 2013, when Ritvars Bluka (DOP) stepped in the project, it started to come back to life and gradually moved on towards realization.
