According to the production team, Fate: The Winx Saga will be targeted towards young adults and will be "edgier and darker than they (the older audience of Winx Club) can imagine after being used to the colorful world of the Winx."
In the first episode, Terra mentions that she has a cousin named Flora. In the cartoon, Flora was the fairy with earth/plant-based powers.
Abigail Cowen (Bloom) and Danny Griffin (Sky) have been dating since 2021.
Brian Young, a former writer for The Vampire Diaries (2009), is the creator and show-runner of Fate: The Winx Saga. According to an interview with The Guardian, Young chose to "ditch the look" of the cartoon Winx fairies; he said, "Look, again, I'm a massive manga anime fan... but nobody looks like that."
