Fifty Shades Of Grey is a erotic romance drama film where the plot revolves around Anastasia Steele, a literature student who falls in love with billionaire businessman Christian Grey, played by Jamie Dornan. As their relationship deepens, Anastasia learns that Christian is into BDSM and she starts to explore his dark and unconventional sexual preferences. Director Sam Taylor-Johnson has smartly adapted the novel of the same name by EL James. Adding to that, the sizzling chemistry between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson keeps you hooked. However, there is some criticism around the shallow nature of the plot, which fails to touch the depths of romance in what is supposed to be a through-and-through romance film.
