The script was originally written for a male lead; but the production team and foreign distributor thought it would make a more interesting story for worldwide audiences if the lead character was portrayed by a woman.
The title of this script started with Matrix (already famously utilized) then changed to The Holton File which later became Last Resort (recently used for a TV series)...so it was changed to Life Saver and finally ended up with Final Recourse.....
