Peter Lawford was presented as a surprise guest during Sammi Davis's segment. Sammi was indeed surprised, and tried to think of ways to incorporate Peter. They did a simple dance number. Sammi's segment dragged, so that Frank actually walked onstage and told him to hurry it up.
