Best Villain | 2004 | Brad
Loosely based on the last night in the life of serial killer Dean Corll.
The reason why there are so many long takes in the movie, according to Brad Jones, is because many of the songs on the movie's soundtrack were actually played during the filming of the scenes, as opposed to being added in during post production.
The word "fuck" is used 380 times.
In one scene, Dean offers Wayne some candy. This is a reference to the real Dean Corll who used to work in a candy company that was owned by his family. He was later known as "The Candy Man".
When writing the script, Brad Jones originally had Nick Foster in mind for the role of Tim and David Gobble in mind for Wayne. When the film was cast, they played the reverse roles.
"[slaps Wayne in the back of the head] Dean: What the fuck, Wayne?"
"Wayne: Maybe she fucking didn't take a drink while we were downstairs. Dean: Are you fucking kidding me? She's the most depressing one out of us all, and that's fucking saying something, my friend!"
