Filmed on VHS tapes.
It was believed that the movie could not legally be released due to the termination of lead actor Jake Norvell, who was fired from production after it was revealed he had been having an affair with a woman Brad Jones had been dating. Jones said in an October 2016 vlog that the movie *can* be released. However, when he was asked about it on Patreon in September 2017, he wrote that it will never be released.
Made as a response to the V/H/S (2012) films, a series of anthology horror films shot digitally and not actually shot on VHS, as well as an homage to both shot on video 1980s/90s films and anthology horror films like Creepshow (1982) and Tales from the Crypt (1972).
Based on an old script by Brad Jones he wrote in his early 20s.
