IMDbThe show is an extreme pleasure to watch, being filled with a bunch of hearty jokes and drama. The performances of the actors were also loved by the audience because they beautifully managed to speak to the audience with their incredible acting skills. Also, the show aimed to explore the reality of life and the difficulties faced by an Asian-American family trying to embrace the glorious “American-dream†but things does not go as planned and all the members are met with challenging life choices, but they do not stay behind to embrace and balance both the goodness and badness of life in totality. Fans were deeply saddened when they got to know about the cancellation of the series. Overall, Fresh off the boats is an incredible show and a perfect option if you are looking for a light-hearted comedy series that will not fail to keep you entertained and glued to your screens from the very start.

Based on the life of Asian-American restaurateur, chef, food personality, and former lawyer Eddie Huang. He serves as the show's narrator in the first season.
Eddie Huang decreased his involvement with the show in season 2 due to his disagreements in creative direction of the show, in particular how the Louis character is portrayed as nice, friendly, and naive versus the dark, abusive, and strict personality he had in the book.
This is the first U.S. network television series centering on an Asian American family since Margaret Cho's All-American Girl (1994).
In season one, all episodes are told from Eddie's first person perspective. In season two, the perspective switched to third person and focused on all members of the Huang family.
Huang didn't return as narrator in season 2. Instead of recasting the role, it was dropped from the series altogether.
