Rotten TomatoesThough the concept for "Ghosted" may have seemed like a simple, formulaic romantic comedy with a dash of action thrown in for good measure, the actual film is everything from that. Actually, it doesn't even measure up to the typical formulaic rom-coms that occasionally appear on OTT platforms. Given that it was directed by Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman), this is unexpected. Additionally, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas are making their third appearance together. "Ghosted" begins with Sadie (Ana de Armas) complaining over the phone about her "cold, empty house" and "cold, empty fridge." And with that, she stops at a farmers market to get some supplies for her refrigerator and a plant for visitors. The farmer Cole (Chris Evans), who has established a shop at the same market, is receiving criticism from his friends for being overly dependent on relationships. 'Ghosted' it was created by Apple Studios and Skydance Media and published on April 21, 2023, through Apple TV+.

Scarlett Johansson was originally cast in the lead role, which would have marked a reunion with Chris Evans after sharing the screen together in over nine movies (most of them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). However, Johansson dropped out due to scheduling conflicts and Ana de Armas replaced her, another of Evans' frequent collaborators (they starred together in Knives Out (2019) and The Gray Man (2022)).
This is Chris Evans' first Apple TV+ project since Defending Jacob (2020).
Ana de Armas and Adrien Brody previously starred in Blonde (2022) together.
Filming wrapped mid May, 2022.
Dexter Fletcher previously directed Tate Donovan in Rocketman (2019).
