TRIVIA

Trivia

Though dated as a 1990 first release the film was actually screened for and made eligible for competition at the Australian Film Institute Awards (AFI) in 1989.

Hunting (1990) and Heaven Tonight (1989) were the debut theatrical feature films of actor Guy Pearce with both premiering in the year 1990.

The film in 1989 was nominated for one Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Kim Gyngell but lost out to Chris Haywood for 'Emerald City' (1988).

The picture was funded under the famed and notorious 10BA Australian film funding and financing scheme.

Many of the cast and crew, including stars John Waters and Kim Gyngell, had appeared in Boulevard of Broken Dreams (1988). Both pictures were directed by Pino Amenta.
