TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

When the adolescent Tim first asks John if he'll "go round with him," the telephone used by Ryan Corr is the actual telephone Timothy Conigrave would have used to make the call in real life. It was Conigrave's personal bedroom telephone from his youth, provided to the production by his sister Anna Davison.

Based on a true story.

Tim Conigrave's mother Mary Gert Conigrave, his sister Anna Davison, and one of Anna's daughters briefly appear in the wedding reception scene, shown sitting at a table. The scene depicts Anna's own wedding reception.

Guy Pierce who plays Tim's conservative father in this film portrayed a flamboyant drag queen In another Australian film The Adventures of Pricilla Queen of the Desert.

This is the second film Sarah Snook and Ryan Corr have starred together. They first starred together in 2012 film "Not Suitable For Children."
