TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

It is the first film in the loosely connected Home Alone series, not to include a setting in Chicago.

Like Home Alone 3 (1997), this one doesn't have Kevin McCallister as the main character. Also, like Home Alone 4 (2002), the main character is not left home "alone", but with his older sibling.

Mr. Hughes, one of the villains in the movie, shares his name with John Hughes, who created the "Home Alone" series and also wrote the first three movies. Also the fourth "Home Alone" movie is based on Hughes' characters.

Only film in the series not to feature a character who the main protagonist initially fears, and then befriends by the end.

This is the only Home Alone sequel to actually repeat the idea of slippery ice as one of the traps.

Finn Baxter: [kicked a lamp with a soccer ball, shouting] I broke a lamp! Alexis Baxter: [upstairs on her bed, looking at her laptop screen, with her feet up] I can't hear you. And I don't care."

"Mr. Hughes: The house has a mind of it's own! Sinclair: [Aimed towards Hughes] Unlike someone I know..."
