The marching band that chases Marlon through the college fair is the Matador Marching Band of California State University, Northridge.
The library scene was filmed at Hollywood High School. The building is an example of the art deco period and the mural seen above the actors was completed in 1939.
Although the final music credit is listed as "Hail to the Matadors" by Richard Kaufman, what the Cal State University Northridge Matador Band plays onscreeen is actually titled "CSUN Fight Song" which is based on the original 1967 school song for the former San Fernando Valley State College. The up-tempo arrangement for marching band was done by CSUN alum, Steve Tyler.
