As a devoted follower of the original series, it is hard not to compare How I Met Your Father with How I Met Your Mother. They aren't the same due to many reasons which is essentially a good thing. For those who have viewed the original show, it would be nice to see the show paying homage to the boys' apartment in this particular rendition. All pleasant memories from the apartment are brought back which induces a sense of nostalgia in the viewers who have watched the original. This show can definitely be described as an updated version of the original even though it isn't as good comparatively. The show aims at showcasing how the younger generation is evolved and how dating has changed too over the years. In that manner, the concept of the series is very relevant. The cast is decent and the characters are lovable. It is a decent show.
