Shot over 17 days in 4 weeks during the crop circle season of 2013 (July / August). It was based on real life experiences during the 2010-2012 seasons. A further day was shot in London a year later.
Because the producers didn't know when or where a crop circle would appear the cast and crew were only told of the location at the start of each day.
Several of the scenes were entirely improvised including all three London scenes and the scene at Avebury stone circle. In that scene the actors Cassandra Thomas and Dan Burman were given a camera and told to go and explore the stones.
All the main characters have marks on their body. The three female characters each have a tattoo related to the crop circles featured in the film. The male characters have a cut or mark symbolising the Celtic rune for the first letter of their name.
The film is set in the English county of Wiltshire where the vast majority of all known crop circles have appeared.
