TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Judy Arnold, women's Captain of the Philadelphia Warriors Roller Games team, doubled for Raquel Welch in the skating sequences. She also has a small speaking role in a dressing room scene. She had to wear a long wig for the skating scenes, covering her short blonde hair.

Phil Ochs, the folksinger-songwriter, was originally approached to write a theme song for this movie. His song was rejected, though. Ochs had A&M Records issue it as a single anyway.

Raquel Welch performed most of her own stunts.

Writer Barry Sandler got Raquel Welch interested in this project by showing up on her doorstep and leaving a script with her personal assistant. He was attending UCLA film school at the time.

Production shut down for six weeks after Raquel Welch broke her right wrist during training. In the interim, she flew to Budapest and filmed a cameo in Bluebeard (1972) opposite Richard Burton. Said Welch of the eager Bluebeard (1972) producers: "They didn't care if my arm was broken."

Popular Dialogues

"K.C. Carr: I just want a little piece of the action so I don't have to apologize every time I turn around, that's all."

"K.C. Carr: Randy, I don't date skaters. Randy: A skater! I ain't no skater, I am a goddamn star!"
