Rotten TomatoesA gripping and exciting thriller, Knock at the Cabin will keep you on the edge of your seat. The film's horrific premise—that a family is held captive by armed strangers and forced to make an impossible choice—is expertly realised. Each member of the cast gives strong performances, and the acting in the movie is excellent. The young girl in the family, who is portrayed by the excellent newcomer Oona Laurence, is especially stunning because she captures a genuine sense of terror and perplexity. The family's desperation and the strangers' malevolent motives contribute to a pervasive feeling of discomfort in the movie, which heightens the tension. The remote cabin setting adds to the sense of desolation and loneliness in the film, which also has amazing visuals. "Knock at the Cabin" is a suspenseful thriller that will have you on the tip of your seat overall. For fans of the genre, the movie is a must-see because of its excellent acting, fast-paced plot, and terrifying premise.

As with director M. Night Shyamalan's last movie, Old (2021), Knock at the Cabin will be shot on 35mm film. Shyamalan and his cinematographer Jarin Blaschke used lenses from the 1990s to give the film a "classic '90s thriller look."
Based on the 2018 novel 'The Cabin at the End of the World' by Paul Tremblay.
M. Night Shyamalan cast Dave Bautista after he was impressed by his performance in Blade Runner 2049 (2017).
At the premiere, in some cinemas, at the entrance, the spectators were asked to give up something they cared for the entire duration of the film, in exchange for a gift at the end. If you chose yes, then your smartphone was bagged and sealed. By handing over the still sealed envelope at the exit, you received a nice prize. The initiative read "MAKE YOUR CHOICE. You would give up one of the things you care about most for the duration of the film. Prove it, your sacrifice could be rewarded"
M. Night Shyamalan's second R-rated film after The Happening (2008) and also his first film to be rated R for language alongside violence.
"Sabrina: I did that so you wouldn't run away. It's like Triage, this..."
