"Kolla" is a heist film that promises to be an interesting thriller thanks to its unique narrative and the presence of two female masterminds. Rajisha Vijayan and Priya Varrier give good performances as Annie and Shilpa, respectively, but the film fails to fully use the characters' potential. The plot twists and turns, but the screenplay lacks the compactness required to sustain a continuous pace. While the first half of the film presents the characters and their motivations, the plot loses speed when the cops begin their hunt for the burglars. The supporting cast performs an admirable job, yet several characters are undeveloped, leaving concerns unsolved. The photography depicts the rural area nicely, while the music lends suspense to key parts. Finally, "Kolla" falls short of its expectations, leaving spectators with a disappointing encounter. Despite the exciting idea, the execution falls short of the anticipated adrenaline rush, resulting in a squandered chance to produce a more engaging criminal thriller.
