When preparing for the film, Steve Le Marquand and Gigi Edgley caught the train from Midland to get within 'the zone'. Upon entering the train they saw three Aboriginal girls beating one another. When they walked over to help, they where promptly told to 'F*** off.'
"Trev: Maybe we should go away somewhere. The Tall Thug: 'way where? Trev: I dunno. Somewhere. The Tall Thug: We are away Trev. This is the most isolated city on the planet, you can't get much more away than that."
"Train Announcer: Next stop, West Midland. Trev: Notice the way she emphasizes 'West Midland', makes it sound quiet, what's the word, personal. Cause we already know we're in Midland, but she lets us know we're on the westside of Midland. Makes you feel, like, it's ok, we're all in this together folks. The Tall Thug: This is gonna be a long trip."
