Jenny Boyd (Lizzie Saltzman) attended the same acting class as Candice King, who plays Lizzie's mother Caroline on The Vampire Diaries (2009). The two being in the same class and after she got the part, Boyd approached King in class and announced, "I'm playing your daughter!"
Spinoff of The Originals (2013) which itself was a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries (2009).
Jenny Boyd replaces Allison Gobuzzi as Lizzie Saltzman, and Kaylee Bryant replaces Bella Samman as Josie Saltzman in their respective roles on The Originals (2013). Gobuzzi and Samman did however appear in an season two flashback reprising their roles.
The majority of the show's exterior shots are filmed at Covington, GA. Conyers, GA is also a major filming location for this show. Conyers is where most of the production work for the series has been carried out. Legacies was also filmed at other locations in the state of Georgia, including Loganville, Dallas, and Atlanta.
The song at the end of the original 3:40 trailer for the first season of the show is "Deep State" by Toni Halliday (of rock band Curve) from the compilation album "The Song Method 3" which features cinematic songs from various artists.
