Kirk Fogg in the movie has been a tour guide of the theme park since 1995, the same year that the show ended.
The writers of the TV movie were childhood friends who watched the show as kids and pitched their idea in full costume dressed as Kirk Fogg and a Green Monkey contestant.
Kirk Fogg was the original host of the 90's game show and appears in this film.
Just like in the game show, the pendants were in halves, which when combined gave extra life.
Instead of coming out from a door in the temple room like in the game show, the temple guards come to life in the Tomb Of The Ancient Kings after taking the first half pendant of life.
"Sadie: My brother Noah says this temple is magical, full of legends that come to life, kings and warriors, and some ancient civilization that needs our help. But Noah is obsessed. He hasn't stopped talking about the legends of the Hidden Temple since we got here. So here we are. What a vacation."
