The movie marks a rare occurrence of the villain Deathstroke being referred to by that name in a children's cartoon. In Teen Titans GO! To the Movies (2018), which came out a few months after this movie, he was referred to as Slade because it was decided that a character with "Death" as part of his name should not be in a children's cartoon.
The film won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound Editing for an Animated Program.
"Batman: Ace the Bat-Hound is more than a pet. He's the best sidekick a caped crusader could ever have. The Atom: What about Robin? Batman: [Gives Ace a belly rub] Aren't you the best sidekick? Yes, you are, yes you are."
"Mayor: [Talking to Reverse Flash in a TV studio] You're a hero that never asks for accolades or wears something as gaudy as a cape. Superman: Gaudy? Batman: Gaudy?"
