Lin Shaye who is famous for her dog in the face scenes in the movie "There's Something About Mary" originally didn't want the part of Gladys the Nosey neighbor because it had a lickey face dog scene, In a conversation with writer - director, Kevin Kent, Lin suggested swapping the dog out for a fish. Next thing you know, the writer was back at the keys re-writing the parts for Lin Shay and the fish called, Moby. In the movie it is a trout in an Orange Juicer worn around her wrist.
